Shari Murphy is originally from the St. Louis Metro East area. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis. She has practiced bankruptcy law in the Metro East since 2005. She also practices in the areas of personal injury, criminal and traffic matters, class actions, as well as a variety of smaller areas, such as debt collection defense. She is admitted to practice in the Southern District, as well as the Central District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. Ms. Murphy has memberships in the Bankruptcy Association of Southern Illinois, Madison County Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. She was also honored to be named Best Bankruptcy Attorney of 2023 in the “Best of The Best” competition held by Hearst Midwest Media Group, which owns the Alton Telegraph and the Edwardsville Intelligencer.
